DR. DAWN

Dr. Dawn Runge-Simonoff, D.C. (you can call her Dr. Dawn if that’s a mouthful) was born in St. Louis, Missouri. She went to Truman State University for her undergraduate degree in Communications. After several years in the PR and event industries, Dr. Runge received an additional Bachelor’s degree in Human Biology, as well as her dual Doctor of Chiropractic and Masters in Human Nutrition, from Logan University & College of Chiropractic.

After graduation, she spent 2 years in the Sub-Saharan African country of Namibia, where she helped establish a practice in an interdisciplinary medical building that was the first of its kind in semi-rural Rundu. After she returned to the U.S., she settled in Los Angeles and worked in the Los Angeles neighborhood of Silverlake. She refined her skills with additional training in prenatal chiropractic and biopsychosocial strategies for pain.

As we will remember for years to come, Covid brought big changes to most of our lives in 2020. One of these changes for her was her September 2020 marriage and move across the city to Playa del Rey, and then to South Central Los Angeles. She lives with her husband, Aaron, and 2 young daughters.

She loves hiking & nature, traveling, reading, kitsch, fashion and (shh, don’t tell anyone) the occasional reality show.
